In this week’s marketing strategy, I want to share with you five books that helped me attract more abundance.
What does that mean?
It means that when I implemented lessons from each book, I attracted more money, or got a client, or added to my bottom line.
There are a lot of books out there that promise you wealth and riches, but does the advice actually help?
For me, these five books helped. And one of these books has nothing to do with money!
Of course, I can’t promise you’ll have the same results, but I bet you’ll learn a nugget or two from each book.
Ready to learn more about these amazing books that helped my abundance? Let’s get to it.

#1: The Four Spiritual Laws of Prosperity by Edwene Gaines
Summary: In this book, Edwene Gaines teaches you the four spiritual laws of prosperity: tithing, goal setting, forgiveness, and divine purpose. She explains how each law works, why you need to implement them, and how it’s helped others (including herself). This book will test your Resistance, which is a signal that you should do what she’s recommending.
Why It Worked For Me: At the time of writing this blog post, I had just finished this book. I implemented one thing from the goal-setting law (Chapter 4), and it resulted in my attracting 10 clients to my book club. In this goal-setting chapter, she shares her manifestation formula, and the specific advice about “what do you need to change” was a game changer.
Side note: I have started spiritual tithing (Chapter 1). I will get back to you on the result, though I am optimistic it will help!

#2: Thank and Grow Rich by Pam Grout
Summary: The subtitle for this book is “A 30-Day Experiment in Shameless Gratitude and Unabashed Joy.” Never has a subtitle more aptly summarized a book! In Thank and Grow Rich, Pam Grout teaches you that the key to amazing abundance is “shameless gratitude.” For every scenario in our life (good and bad), there’s something to be grateful for. She leads the reader through 30 gratitude exercises (what she calls “party games”). She weaves in amazing success stories too – just to help you feel inspired.
Why It Worked For Me: The very first exercise is about setting the expectation that something amazingly awesome will happen to you that day (you say this first thing in the morning). So, as I get up, I declare that something amazingly awesome will happen to me. It’s cool to see what it might be (kind of like Christmas morning when you’re a kid). And because I’m paying attention and vibrating at a higher frequency, I have received amazingly awesome things, such as an unexpected $1,000+ to my monthly income.

#3: Profit First by Mike Michalowicz
Summary: This is a true-blue business book that talks about increasing your business’s profit. Mike Michalowicz teaches his “Profit First” method that taps into our natural instincts to use bank accounts to organize our money. He also changes the formula of how we think about profit – namely that our income minus our profit should equal expenses. Meaning, we should be focusing first on a certain profit before allocating funds for expenses. If your finances need a tune-up, you definitely want to read Profit First.
Why It Worked For Me: True confession: This book did make my head spin (hello, numbers!), but I appreciated the mindset shift about profitability. Specifically, I followed his advice about reducing expenses, which resulted in a $500 savings per month. I don’t think I would have reduced my expenses without reading Profit First. I hope you’ll check it out, even if your eyes flip back into your head.

#4: The Power of Receiving by Amanda Owens
Summary: Let’s face it: Women are wonderful givers but can be horrible receivers. Amanda Owens is on a mission to change that, and The Power of Receiving is a life-changing book on why we need to receive as much as we give. You can’t manifest wealth or clients or a new house if you’re not in a receiving mode! She has amazing exercises to help you strengthen your receiving muscle. I recommend this book to every woman. Period.
Why It Worked For Me: Before I read The Power of Receiving, I was anti-receiving. Yet I wondered why my goal cards weren’t working. I implemented everything Amanda Owens recommended in this book. And when I did – I manifested an extra $10,000. I am not blowing smoke up your skirt. When it happened, I nearly fell out of my chair. I hope you’ll read this one.

#5: 100 Days of Weight Loss by Linda Spangle
Summary: Surprise! Yes, a book about weight loss can help you be more abundant. In 100 Days of Weight Loss, you’ll find anecdotes and nuggets that will help you lose weight –by addressing your mindset and changing your eating habits. By Day 100, not only will you have released some weight, you’ll notice a difference in your business, too.
Why It Worked For Me: On a large scale, releasing more weight has allowed more room for abundance – physically, emotionally, and psychologically. I feel good. And when you feel good, more good things come your way (e.g. clients, wealth, partnerships). Specifically, when I came to accept the idea of being motivated by your “why” (as opposed to results), it changed everything. I learned to detach from the outcome – not only on my weight loss journey (as in what the scale says) – but also in my marketing (as in how much money I was making off a program). Without a doubt, the weight loss lessons I learned in 100 Days of Weight Loss helped me be a more successful entrepreneur.

ABOUT JILL
Hi, I’m Jill Celeste. I teach purpose-driven entrepreneurs (just like you) everything you need to know about marketing so you can become the Director of Marketing for your business.
Because when you put your Director of Marketing hat squarely on your head, marketing is your number one priority (which will result in more clients!).
When I am not teaching about marketing, you’ll find me hanging out with my husband or my teenage boys, or taking a nap with my basset hound, Emma. I also like to play with my two kittens and feed the backyard ducks (much to my neighbor’s chagrin).
If you’re feeling alone in your entrepreneurial journey, I invite you to check out my monthly membership group, The Celestial Circle. Affordable, loving, supportive, informative, and fun – that’s how we roll in The Celestial Circle. We would love to welcome you!
